Calcite and Amethyst Formation

This compact, small, hand-carved specimen features a unique cupcake-like formation. The matrix, with soft tones, displays white and gray agate banding. Rising from the matrix is a double crystallization of medium purple amethyst, with varied crystal points of different shapes and sizes, supported by a secondary calcite. The druzy cluster beneath has a high luster and showcases prominent formations. The piece is crowned by a medium-sized, intact, colorless, and semi-transparent calcite point, well-formed and free of damage. This is a collectible specimen from Artigas, Uruguay, presented on a druzy cluster plate.
